Christmas
Christmas Snapshots
We had a wonderful Christmas leaving me with a type of exhaustion that feels like it will never be gone. So glad Brandon has had the whole week off to pick up my slack. What will I do when he goes back to work next week?!
Here are a few snapshots of our Christmas.
Squeal on Christmas day immediately after opening all of her presents.
Shout and her Dad playing Giant Chess. I love that the pieces are about the same size as a thermos. I doubt they will ever play with regular sized pieces again.
One of my favorite gifts A Cake pop maker! You better believe I will blog about how these turn out. So fun!
How I have spent most of the holiday. Laying back in polkadot jammies, nothing could be better!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!! I would love to hear about yours. If you want too, let me know how yours went in the comments.
The Fun Continues.
We had a really good Christmas and I hope you all did as well! The holiday is not over yet here at our house. The Umpire has the entire week off! I am so excited to spend it doing all the things that we did not fit in before Christmas.
Tomorrow my girls will be spending the day at their grandma’s house. The Mr and I will be shopping away, Going to lunch and maybe a movie. We have not been on a date for a really long time and I am naming this one the post Christmas date Extravaganza. Pretty catchy right?
As of now we have not at all recovered from Christmas the house is a mess, I know that I have eaten my entire weight in every holiday food imaginable and I feel like a could sleep for a year. but fixing all that can wait an extra day.
My girls were surprisingly sweet this year during all the mayhem and I caught them on more than one occasion being really nice to each other.
My favorite reaction was when Shout opened up the Nerf gun the Umpire got her. She was so confused! This was a boy toy how could it possibly be for her? Once opened and ready Shriek and Shout loved their nerf toys and had a lot of fun.below is a picture of them together opening up the refill pack. Although we are not done having kids I think my husband has given up on the chance that any of them will be boys and has decided to get our girls into some of the things he loves. I say more power to him we have enough glitter and pink to last a life time!
Everything else they got was pretty girly and Squeal got a new baby doll that she drags around everywhere. Gotta love Christmas!
How Many Days Are Left?
How many days are left? That is the question I hear day after day after day. I also here in a whiny and exhausted tone. “Christmas is taking FOOORRREEVVEER!”
They have loved the Advent quilt but maybe it reminds them too often that their are still days left till the big day.
I remember being that excited. I love that having young kids brings a whole new and different excitement to the holiday. Now if we can just make it to Temple Square to see the lights, Make ginger bread houses, go sledding, build a snowman and Sing every Christmas song ever written till we are blue in the face it will be a great Christmas (Just writing all of that made me tired) Not everything will end up being marked off that list but that is just fine with me.
Speaking of Christmas songs I really think that the Screamette’s are getting sick of hearing me belt out the song all I want for Christmas. They were almost in tears today telling me to stop. that is never a good sign.
With all this talk about Christmas I can’t help but remember was it is all really about. This message is so neat and helps me realize what is the most important.
I hope you all have a Wonderful Christmas!
